Las Lilas is tucked into the village of Ponte de Barca between the Lima & Vez Rivers in the mountainous region of Vinho Verde. Vino Verde, from the region Vinho Verde, translates to “green wine” meaning wines that are to be drunk young. Winemaker Jose Oliveira, an icon in these parts, presides over 20 year old vineyards hand harvesting in late September through early October to achieve perfect ripeness & acidity. 

The wine is a blend of 40% Vinhao, 30% Borracal, & 30% Espadeiro. Fermented in stainless steel & minimally filtered & fined, the wine is lightly effervescent with big cherry notes, floral flavors & superbly crisp on the palate. Elegant & fresh with lower alcohol, this wine is an excellent aperitif or perfect companion to lighter meals!
