“Ve” is a local Provençal expression meaning, “look at that!”

10 miles south of Arles in Provence, the Michel family stewards Mas de Valeriole, a 45 hectare estate founded in the early 15th century. The vineyards occupy 32 hectares. The estate is located in the Camargue, a unique coastal wetland in France famous for its wild horses, salt flats, pink flamingos, and rice paddies!

The wine is a blend of 70% Caladoc (a cross between Grenache & Malbec), 15% Merlot, and 15% Marselan (a cross between Grenache & Cabernet Sauvignon). Harvested at night to ensure that the grape clusters are cool at arrival, the juice is direct pressed and given a brief stint in stainless steel before bottling.

The wine is bright with a salt tinged profile, notes of raspberries and ripe citrus fruits, and a sneaky but satisfying long finish!
