70% Caladoc, 15% Merlot, & 15% Marselan from Provence France.
This 45 hectare estate was founded in the early 15th century and purchased by the Michels family in the late 1950’s. Ve means “look at that!”, a reference to their rosé which is everything that you would expect from a rosé from Provence.
This rosé is an unusual blend of 80% Caladoc (a cross between Grenache & Malbec) and 20% blend of Merlot & Syrah. There’s a short skin contact & the grapes are constantly cooled down to preserve freshness.
This outlier Provencal rosé is bright & salt tinged with floral aromatics, flavors of raspberries, sugary strawberries, ripe citrus, & a sneaky long finish!
