55% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 8% Cinsault, & 7% Mourvèdre from the Vaucluse appellation in the Rhone Valley, France. Organic.
Established in 1898, Frederic and Daniel Brunier are the 4th generation to farm their land and make wine in and around the sacred Chateauneuf-de- Pape region. The grapes are sourced from vineyards just outside the Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC and the slopes of the Tour de France’s iconic Mont Ventoux.
The blend is primarily Grenache with Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault which is fermented in stainless steel tanks and oak founders. The final blend is aged for 6 months in oak. The wine is fresh and fruity with aromas of licorice, black fruit, and herbs. There’s silky tannins and well rounded acidity that make this wine so approachable and easy to drink young.
From their impressive portfolio of wines showcasing this historic region, this cuvee exemplifies the terroir diversity and winemaking skills at a very affordable price!
