"The Beguiled is the fifth sister in our co-fermention cider series where grapes and tree fruits are married to make uniquely Vermont sparkling wines. The Beguiled is made from newly fermenting Marquette from our Vergennes vineyard and steeped during that fermentation with peaches grown in both the Champlain Valley as well as in the Chateauguay where we have our mountain vineyards. This wine is made in the ancestral method and once the wine is ready, the Marquette is pulled off the peaches, and bottled to finish its primary fermentation under cap. A summer wine inspired by the old Italian tradition of steeping fresh peaches in chilled Sangiovese on a hot day in peach season."
