60% Grenache, 13% Clairette, 13% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 3% Mourvèdre, 1% Bourboulenc from Tavel in the Southern Rhône, France.
It’s no wonder that Tavel has been dubbed the king of rosé -- there’s something majestic that sets it apart from the amazing finesse rosés of Provence.
A 4th generation winemaker, Guillaume Trinquevedel, continues the tradition of seeking out Grenache from some of southern Rhône’s finest terroirs (along with Clairette, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, & Bourboulenc) to create a fleshy & super expressive wine with a big attack of strawberries & raspberries along with persistent spicy & savory notes, great depth & finish.
This is a gastronomic rosé -- rich, hearty, & full bodied that can hold up to Asian cookery, spicy fare, or that busy burger coming off the grill!
