From the heart of the Hamptons, Wolffer Estate is highly regarded for their wines- particularly Cabernet Franc- grown and produced in eastern Long Island. Their new venture is a collaboration with the Strauch Family Vineyards in the Rheinhessen region of Germany producing an alcohol free, low calorie, dry rose sparkler that has all the attributes of its alcohol counterpart.
Made from organically grown Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Saint Laurent, and Dornfelder sourced in Germany the juice goes through 12 hours of skin maceration for it’s color and a vacuum rectification method that gently removes the alcohol but retains the flavors and aromatics.
There’s wonderful bright acidity and minerality with peach and citrus flavors and aromatics of fresh hay and baked apples. Clean and ripe, vibrant and refreshing, this perfectly balanced sparkler is the standard for all of the non alcoholic wines showing up on shelves lately.
