100% Pinot Noir from Germany

Enderle and Moll are just two passionate guys with a tiny cellar and a few hectares of old vines but they’re getting a lot of buzz these days, Wine guru extraordinaire Jancis Robinson has called them a cult! The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown on their farm at the western fringe of the Black Forest. The vines are 25-60 years old. Sven and Florian do the vineyard work by hand but are essentially hands off in the cellar crushing the grapes in an old basket press and aging the wine in second hand Burgundy barrels.  The wine is deeply extracted creating a darker than usual color for rose with flavors of ripe cherries, woodsy bark, herbs, and a firm mineral streak. The fruit is low yield, biodynamic, and organic with no fining or filtration.
