Sicily’s iconic Planeta family began their historic winemaking run in the 1600’s in Sarabuca di Sicilia. In recent years the family has devoted their energies to matching the extraordinary diverse soils with the best indigenous & international varieties.

Today Planeta encompasses 6 distinct wine estates in 5 regions throughout Sicily. La Secreta takes its name from the forest that surrounds their vineyard in Ulmo. The blend of indigenous & more popular grapes -- 50% Grecanico, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Viognier, & 10% Fiano -- is a perfect introduction to to not only Sicilian white wine but a fine example of the old guard aligning with the new to forge a new Mediterranean style!
