100% Sauvignon Blanc from Ballard Canyon, California. Organic.
"The great Sauvignon Blanc vineyards of the Loire Valley lie on white rock, so the winemakers at Stolpman Vineyards decided to plant an experimental two-acre block on their limestone outcropping back in 1999. Stolpman bottled its first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc in 2008. They fell in love with the wine and have since grafted and own-rooted eight more acres. Aromatic Sauvignon Blanc zest and green apple blasts out of the glass. This is complimented by touches of pear and a surge of lemon-lime and tangerine citrus. Acid leads on the palate, followed by mid-palate weight and closes with the quick return of quenching acidity. Packed into the crisp, light body, salinity and a subtle richness created a classically serious Sauvignon Blanc."
