100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, France.
While Sancerre certainly earns the nickname "Rolex of white wines," you can find many excellent, more widely available, and less expensive Sauvignon Blancs from other Loire appellations. These wines still deliver that characteristic flinty, chalky minerality and finesse.
Famille Durand Sauvignon Blanc is a third-generation-estate run by Pierre Durand & dedicated to producing authentic wine from a single parcel in the Touraine appellation. The vineyards sit on the same Kimmeridgian soil (ancient seabed fossils) that wines from Sancerre do.
The wine has bright acidity & crisp minerality with the hallmark grassy & herbal notes found in Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire.
