Auntsfield is Marlborough’s first vineyard & winery established in 1892. The estate grown grapes are grown on unique terroir consisting of ancient Greywacke rock & Loess clay soils.
This wine is positively crackling! There’s an intense concentration of flavors with generous weight, but the wine is balanced from the terroir’s underlying minerality.
Notes of dried herbs collide with lemongrass, papaya, gooseberries, passionfruit, & lime. Big energy & big flavors bring a lot of zip & super snappy tension to this wine but in a very delicious way. Despite its expansive fruit spectrum & intense & pungent aromatics, there’s still beautiful length & balance, richness & mouth feel!
