100% Arneis from the Piedmont, Italy. Organic.

Since 1670, the Negro family has been cultivating vineyards in the hills of Roero – realizing the potential for this outlier region in the Piedmont. Roero is recognized as the birthplace of Arneis; while the family is credited with recognizing the potential & value of the Arneis grape & saving it from extinction. Arneis, in the local dialect, means “brat” or “rascal” referring to the multiple difficulties the grape presents.

The Negro family’s first vintage of Arneis was in 1971, & they have continued to develop & refine this quirky grape ever since. The wine is bottled exclusively for the United States. Unfiltered & unfined, the wine goes straight from the tank to the bottle, bringing out layers of character on top with notes of tangerine & pear but with a bright, summery floral vibe & really pleasing texture!
