Gia is located in the heart of Prosecco country in the Veneto region of Italy. The wine is a collaboration between winemaker & grower Massimo Marion and Alex Labriola who established the wine’s visual identity & helps with the style of the final blending.
Technically Gia could be labeled Prosecco but it’s declassified by choice to signal that this is not your average sparkler. Lesser known grapes like Bianchetta, Perera, Verdiso, & a touch of Pinot Noir are blended with the Glera grape and the wine is aged in stainless steel for a year & a half!
This extended aging adds depth & texture with salty citrus flavors along with nectarine, lemon, tarragon, & anise. There’s a hint of almond paste in the finish.
