A red blend of Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Blaufrankisch, & Cabernet Franc from vineyards in both Austria & Hungary.
Biodynamic, hand harvested, vegan and naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts.
Franz Weninger’s family has farmed in the central Burgenland for 2 centuries. The Ponzichter blend of Pinot Noir and Zweigelt takes its name from the German growers who would plant beans between the rows of vineyards.
The winery follows all biodynamic principles and practices growing healthy vines with low yields to achieve a deeper concentration and complexity of fruit. Bright and earthy with cherry and a backbeat of spice, this wine is light on its feet and, when chilled, it’s a tasty Glou Glou quaffer!
