Chateau Belle-Graves, located in the Lalande de Pomerol, is a property that has gone through many owners and has a colorful history. Jean Theallet, who owned the property in the 1980’s, was first cousin to Jacque Cousteau, who would visit the chateau every year to sample the new vintage before he embarked on a new adventure!
The wine is made up of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc , all hand harvested and destemmed. Bordeaux is often criticized for overly expensive and even overrated wines but this wine delivers in a big way.
