60% Nero D’Avola & 40% Frappato from Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico (Sicily), Italy. Organic.
From the producer:
This wine pays homage to the Sicilian artist Francesco Giombarresi, "peasant painter," who was able to narrate the colors, landscapes and characters of the island through his miniatures.
On sandy soil rich in limestone at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, we grow the Nero d'Avola and Frappato vineyards that will give life to the classic Cerasuolo di Vittoria. The name of the only DOCG in Sicily comes from the dialect term "cerasa" or cherry in Sicilian. A wine with an intense garnet red color that offers a bouquet with hints of small red fruits, with an undertone of licorice and a light note of chocolate. A full and warm red on the palate.
