The Quarry Ridge sits at an elevation of 400 meters so the Pinot Noir gets a much needed reprieve from the searing heat in the valley below.

All the fruit is hand harvested, sorted, destemmed, and left as whole berries aiming to amplify fragrance and aromatics. And did they ever succeed! There is pure Pinot Noir character on the nose- bright red berry fruit, anise, and baking spice.

The wine is soft and dangerously drinkable with persistent and structured acidity. The balance is near perfect- savory but juicy, bright but soft. This is a fully open and delicious wine made from an unlikely varietal in an unlikely environment!

The label design artwork was originally created by Daniel Wallace for winemakers Matt and Tamara Harrop’s wedding in 1997. Great label, great wine!
