Winemaker extraordinaire Jeff Carrel named En Coteaux after the hillsides of the vineyards (coteaux is French for hillsides) which are located in the foothills of the French Pyrenees.

Jeff is a busy man working vineyards in the Languedoc, Burgundy, Bordeaux, & Beaujolais as well. Jeff works with organic growers to develop original wines with precision that deliver a sense of place and great value!

Grown in a coastal Mediterranean climate & cooled by maritime winds, Jeff has created a fresh, elegant, & well rounded Pinot Noir. This Pinot Noir is on the lighter style of the spectrum but it also has really intense fruit! There are aromas & flavors of cherries, baking spices, & those classic earthy notes that are the key elements to a delicious Pinot Noir!
