100% Muscadet from Loire, France.
The Chereau family have been owners of this idyllic location since 1960. Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine in the Loire is a 10 hectare single vineyard overlooking the confluence of the Sevre & Maine Rivers and dedicated to the cultivation of Melon de Bourgogne grapes from vines planted between 1940-1980.
The Sur Lie vinification process imparts very small bubbles called “perlant”. The Muscadet is aged 6 months in stainless steel and then 1 year in the bottle. Citrus aromas of grapefruit & lemon spring from the glass. The wine is incredibly fresh with tropical fruit tones, white flower fragrances, & melon flavors. There’s a very enticing wet minerality which makes this wine a perfect pairing with shellfish!
