Fourth-generation vigneron Jean-Paul Dubost produces wine that combines luscious fruit & mineral rigor with open-arm accessibility! The grapes are sourced from 60 year old vines from “En Brenay” at the southern end of the Moulin-a-Vent AOC, where the soils are rich in manganese, granite, & iron schists.
The harvest goes through a full carbonic maceration of whole clusters for a month in concrete & steel, followed by a period of malolactic fermentation for a softer & smoother wine profile. The spicy power of Moulin-a-Vent is on full display here along with its intense purple color & aromas of ripe fruit & floral notes. This wine is incredibly age worthy – drink her now or wait a few years!
