Over the last 25 years Chalmers has grown and celebrated the diversity and success of Italian grape varieties in Australia. Located in the Heathcote GI (geographic indication) in Central Victoria, this vibrant field blend on Ribolla Giallo, Vermentino, Pecorino, Moscato Giallo, Inzolia, and Falanghina is truly a”sum of it’s parts” wine and delightful summer sipper! The grapes are hand harvested and the fruit is whole bunch pressed and co- fermented with wild yeast in stainless steel for a bright and pure wine. The Montevecchio Bianco has chalky mineral notes with a hint of salty sea air, lemon and lime, and a super lifted aromatic of lychees.
