Mondeuse is an ancient grape from France’s alpine Savoie region. The grapes are sourced from the Las Cimas Vineyard in the northern Russian River Valley. The persistent sunshine compliments the cooling  Pacific Ocean  winds allowing the grapes to maintain a high level of freshness.

The grapes are foot crushed and fermented whole cluster with native yeasts and pressed into neutral French oak barriques for 14 month elevate before bottling.

Mondeuse has some of the floral, spice, and gamy elements of Syrah but with a bit more cranberry like brightness.

Red currents, plums, and savory herbs course throughout with violet and raspberry aromatics. The wine is firm and structured with fine tannins and bright acidity.
