The Durigitti brothers, Hector and Pablo, preside over their winery located in the heart of Lujan de Cuyo in the district of Las Compuertas. The first Malbecs from Argentina were made in this region. Their vines were planted in 1914!

Their five iterations of Malbec are harvested in early March. After a precise soil composition study is completed, the five wines are chosen from the different soil profiles. Each wine is fermented and aged in concrete eggs and then a final blend is determined.

This is a Malbec of restraint -- medium bodied, floral, and spicy with bright red fruit flavors and secondary notes of cocoa and espresso. You can even  detect a touch of smoky minerality in there too!
