Sparkling mostly Verdicchio with a little Trebbiano from Marche, Italy.

Verdicchio’s rising reputation as one of Italy’s favorite white wines is partly due to the work of Riccardo Baldi, owner & wine maker at La Staffa. Located in the Marche region of Italy between the Apennine Mountains & the Adriatic Sea, Riccardo has focused on Verdicchio since he was 19 years old, hand harvesting his grapes with minimal intervention & fast becoming the benchmark for high quality winemaking in the region.

This Pet Nat is primarily Verdicchio with a small amount of Trebbiano added. The ancestral method of capturing some CO2 in the bottle creates fine bubbles that carry bright acidity, minerality & salinity to integrate with yeasty fennel & green apple notes. 

Mai Sentito means “ never heard of” reflecting its unique character!
