Tom and Marilyn Stolpman were honeymooning in Napa Valley when Marilyn put the wild idea of one day planting a vineyard into Tom’s head! They soon journeyed down the rabbit hole of food and wine and eventually found their perfect location in Ballard Canyon in Santa Barbara County.
Over the past decade Stolpman Vineyards has embraced carbonic maceration to bring out the fresh & vibrant character of the Santa Barbara County white grapes they work with. Pinot Gris adds depth, Orange Muscat all of those tropical flavors, Tocai Friulano texture & brightness, & Gewurztraminer for the enticing exotic fruit notes. The wine is one crazy citrus punch with funky red grapefruit, crunchy pineapple, shaved coconut, and subtly hints of wood & stone that complement the upfront flavors.
Winemaker Ruben Solorzano has written his beautiful love letter cursive on the label to finish off this fun and funky blend!
