Dry white blend of Louise Swenson, La Crescent, Frontenac Blanc, and Prairie Star from Vermont, USA.
We're delighted that there’s new ownership and enthusiasm at Lincoln Peak Vineyards in New Haven! Nichole Bambacigno and Kevin Bednar are the new winemaking team at one of Vermont’s idyllic vineyards. Nichole and Kevin have reams of experience at other vineyards but always had an eye on Vermont to develop their own wines. When opportunity knocked they grabbed it!
We're personally delighted that they have brought back Limestone - one of our favorites because the wine epitomizes all of the potential of white varietals from Vermont in a glass.
The wine is made up of Louise Swenson, Le Crescent, Frontenac Gris, and Prairie Star. Certainly not household names but they produce a delightful wine that is truly the sum of its parts. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented to dryness. Complex with bright acidity and mineral finish, the wine bursts with peach, lime, spruce tips, and melon! Welcome back!
