From the producer: "This 100% Carignan from Minervois in the south of France will knock your socks off. It is medium-bodied with a strong tannic structure and aromas of raspberries and blueberries. A definite food wine.
Often considered a bistro wine that pairs well with burger and fries, Les Heretiques (named after the victims of the siege of Minerve in the year 1210) is pure, clean, full of black fruit and peppers. Produced at Château d'Oupia by Marie-Pierre (daughter of Andre Iche, who passed away in 2007), this 100% Carignan wine is fermented half in barrel and half by carbonic maceration. This easy and pleasant red is one of the best everyday wines you will find."
