Domaine du Salvard has been a working estate since 1898 with the Delaille family. Today Thierry & Emmanuel Delaille preside over 42 hectares in the Cheverny appellation. Cheverny’s simple & elegant wines are some of the best in the Loire. Described as “a purebred race horse that sells for a plow horse price!” -- typical praise for Cheverny wines!

Some of their Sauvignon Blanc vineyards run up against the sand, clay, & limestone soils of northeastern Touraine, renown for their Sauvignon Blanc.

Le Petite Salvard bnrings some big minerality with the Loire’s signature smoky wet stone vibe. There’s also a bit of gooseberry & lime flavors going on that’s reminiscent of a New Zealand styled Sauvignon Blanc. Citrus & fresh herb aromas and flavors flesh out this classic Loire wine that could more than hold its own with its more prestigious neighbors!
