100% Gamay from Beaujolais, France.
Martine, Pierre-Marie, and Jean-Etienne Chermette are the current operators from the Chermette family who settled in Vissoux in 1772. The family has been consistently producing some of the best Beaujolais over the last two decades. The family has been awarded the HVE 3 (highest environmental value), France’s highest level for environmental certification in France.
The grapes go through a partial carbonic maceration and aged 3-6 months in concrete to maintain freshness. There’s a gentle spicy complexity to the wine with a nice balance of fruit, minerality, and acidity. The cherry and red fruit flavors are fleshy and the fine skin tannins make for one supple and easy-to-drink Gamay!
