Located in Snezatno, Slovenia near the northern Italian border, the Stekar Winery is a small 10 hectare property dedicated to "following our idea of natural wine where nature has been left to take it’s course, producing wine without additives, chemistry, and invasive technologies."
The Oliver Red is named after winemaker Jure Stekar’s son Oliver and made in a bright, fresh style using Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are spontaneously fermented on the skins for only two days before they are gently pressed. This method focuses on the fruit instead of the structure and tannin creating a wonderfully juicy and chillable blend with notes of baking spices, black cherries, and strawberries!
