100% Gamay from the Valais region of Switzerland, the same region as the great Matterhorn. The Caloz family established this domaine in 1960, when Fernand Caloz began vinifying his own grapes in his home village of Miège. Cave Caloz is in a mountainous region where the vineyards sit on steep man made stone terraces and must be worked by hand. The gamay grown for this wine is from an ancient vineyard, and sees partial carbonic maceration, preserving a beautiful freshness in the wine.
