85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, & 1% Carmenere from Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux), France. Biodynamic.

Le Puy has been around since 1610 in the Cotes de Francs, a small sub appellation on the same plateau of nearby Saint Emilion. Le Puy has been compared to some of the exalted properties in Bordeaux that are produced on the Right Bank.

The wine is made from 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, & 1% Carmenere! The wine is so harmonious -- there’s a delicious compatibility of fruit, acidity, tannin, minerality, & earthiness.
It is aged for 2 years in century old oak foudres providing both energy, lift, & complexity. And yet Le Puy has a surprisingly fresh style!

Cherries, leather, herbs, & damp earth flavors and aromas create a complexity & depth in Le Puy that are usually found only in upper tiered Bordeaux wines!
