The first trace of the Bichot family dates back to 1214. The family settled in Burgundy in 1350 & the family’s coat of arms symbol - a doe (biche) hasn’t changed throughout the centuries.
The first Albert provided the momentum for the family wine business in the 18th century & the second Albert pioneered its international popularity, traveling incessantly to promote their wines in the 19th century.
Today, the Bichot family has 6 estates that cover Burgundy north to south. The Cremant is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, & Gamay sourced from parcels throughout the Cote d’ Or. The juice is aged for 9 months & stored for a year on the lees with a dosage of 10grams of still wine with a touch of sugar after the sediments are removed. Dry, bright, & crisp, the red berry fruit & currant aromatics jump from the glass. A subtle touch of citrus adds to the wine’s compelling freshness. A perfect way to toast your favorite people!
