Chianti is the land of Sangiovese in Tuscany, where Italians have been growing grapes since the 8th century B.C. Italy’s wine regulations for all Chianti labeled bottles must have at least 75% of Sangiovese in each bottle. This wine weighs in with 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, & 10% Ciliegiolo.
This is classic Chianti -- savory & supple with big cherry flavors, earth, & herbs. Floral aromatics from the Canaiolo add a perfumed touch over the palate. The addition of the Ciliegiolo helps provide the rich garnet color!
