100% Chenin Blanc from Swartland, South Africa.
South Africa is the largest producer of Chenin Blanc, or Steen as it’s referred to locally.
The wine is made from 100% Chenin Blanc sourced from 3 different sustainably farmed vineyards in different parts of the Swartland. All of the vines are at least 40 years old. The grape clusters are fermented in both stainless steel and French oak for 6 weeks. The barrels are then racked and blended with the tank fermented juice and then bottled.
The wine is bright and expressive with vibrant acidity and a soft rounded texture. Aromatics of sun ripened pear and wet granite minerality blend with flavors of pineapple, kiwi, tangerine, Marcona almonds, and ginger!
