We found a beauty that is quintessentially California and a step up from the infinite array of California Chardonnay on the shelves these days. Owners and winemakers  Sam and Valerie Balakian have operated their Paso Pobles winery since 1999. They select iconic regions and vineyards for their grapes throughout California and their Chardonnay is no exception.

From grapes sourced from the highly-regarded Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey, this Chardonnay has all the attributes that make Chardonnay a household name - golden color, 100% malolactic, aromas of tropical fruit, peach, and vanilla, a smidge of oak and creamy finish, but with a ridiculously low price and ….. balance! Oak, alcohol, fruit, and acidity are integrated beautifully offering a delightful interpretation of an old favorite and comparable to Chardonnay twice the price!
