100% Pinot Noir from Burgundy, France. Organic.

The Lequin estate is located in the Santenay appellation located at the southern tip of the Cote d’ Or. The estate sources it’s fruit from two small parcels in Santenay-“Chassey-le-Camps” and “Lavau”.

The family estate  goes back to 1679 and is currently run by Francois Lequin, who previously worked with David Ramsey at Chalk Hill in Sonoma, California. Francois’ emphasis is on purity and transparency in the wine-- “ I want the wines to express by themselves what the vineyards have to say.”

The wine is 100% Pinot Noir that is co-fermented 10% whole cluster and 80% de-stemmed for 2-3 weeks. The wine is then aged in a combination of new and old oak barrels for 10 months. This is rustic quintessential Burgundy -- juicy & spicy, perfumed & full bodied, with aromatic lift & subtle core minerality.
