70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux, France.
Chateau La Freynelle is an historic Bordeaux wine estate located in Daignac, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. The estate was established in 1789, the year of the French Revolution, when Jean Barthe chose this unique location to plant his first vines. The vineyards have passed from father to son for 7 generations until Veronique Barthe, the first woman in the family to inherit the property in 1990, took control.
The wine has a wide aromatic palette of blackberrys, plums, and cherries mingling with hints of cedar and spice. There’s notes of tobacco and a touch of vanilla. The tannins are fully integrated and smooth. The roundness and soft texture of Merlot and the power of Cabernet Sauvignon is fully expressed in this superb interpretation of Bordeaux!
