This Bordeaux-style red blend is aged for six months in French oak and is fermented using wild yeast. Flavors of dark intense fruit; cooked cherry, licorice, currant, and hints of baking chocolate are intense and concentrated on the palate. Notes of ripe cherry, licorice, and blackberry are followed dry tannins and tightly wound fruit on the finish. Using only vines that are a minimum fifteen-years-of-age adds a measure of concentration usually found only in wines costing considerably more.
