
100% Barbera from two vineyards located in the commune of Santa Vittoria d'Alba in the Piedmont, Italy. Organic.
Sisters Monica & Daniela Tibaldi follow a long line of winemaking Tibaldis beginning with their great grandfather who began working his vines in the early 1900’s. Today, the Cantina remains a family affair with their mother & father riding the tractor or doing the accounting while their sister, a sommelier, provides valuable insight.
Their 7 hectare estate is located in the Roero region of the Piedmonte & their vineyards are 30+ years old. The Barbera is exposed to cold temperature skin contact with pump overs to extract more aroma & color. The juice sits in stainless steel tanks for 7 months on the lees & 2 months in the bottle.
There’s lots of bright acidity & a lively mouth feel with all the classic cherry, spice, & earthiness you would expect in a superb Barbera. Thinking to the grill days ahead, this wine is an ideal partner for any & all barbecue!
