50% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, & 25% Cinsault from Bandol (Provence), France. Organic.
Bandol is a charming Mediterranean seaside town & one of Provence’s most internationally recognized wine regions. George Delaille trained as a sommelier in Paris and, in 1963, relocated to Bandol purchasing Domaine de Terrebrune in the town of Ollioules.
In the wake of Bandol’s AOC acquisition in 1941, the area was galvanized in overhauling their vineyards to reestablish Mourvèdre. Today all wines from the Bandol AOC are required to have at least 50% Mourvèdre in their makeup.
Now George's son, Reynald Delille, is considered a rose master and revered by his Provençal peers for crafting complex and ageworthy rosé every year!
The wine is a testament to Mourvèdre’s dominance -- 50% along with 25% Grenache & 25% Cinsault -- displaying a sleek & well rounded style, refreshing coolness & seemless underlying minerality from the fissured Trias limestone bedrock of the region.
Grapefruit, lemon zest, passionfruit fruit, & subtle spices create a rich & vibrant cornucopia that’s signature Bandol!
