Vina Almirante is made up of 4 multi generational wine families who pool their resources, knowledge, & experience to produce the iconic grape of the Rias Baixas in the region of Galicia- Albariño.

Winemaker Raphael Fraga guides the grapes through a partial cryo maceration -- where  de-stemmed grapes are taken to a freezer -- when the grapes freeze, it weakens the cellular structure of the tannin, pigment, & flavor in the grapes. When the grapes are defrosted, the subsequent fermentation extracts 50% more of these critical components into the wine! Pneumatic pressing & cold decanting follows to bring out the sumptuous mouthfeel & aromatic complexity of the grape. The wine is 100% Albariño. The aromatics & palate pop with ripe fruit, vanilla, lavender, & lemon verbena!
