Albariño is certainly making its mark in a country that prides itself on red wines. Located in Rias Baixas in the northwest corner of Spain, Vanidade is a group of 80 winemaking families in Almirante that combine their vineyards & expertise to craft an Albariño with lively citrus & stone fruit notes, refined minerality, & a silky texture that lingers on the palate.
After hand-harvesting & destemming, the grapes go through a partial cryomaceration (freezing) & fermentation in stainless steel at cooler temperatures – resulting in a wine of depth & freshness!
Albariño has created a ripple effect encouraging curious consumers to explore other pockets of Spain that produce intriguing white wines like Gordello, Garnacha Blanca, Palomino Fino, Viura, & Verdejo.
