100% Syrah from Bekaa, Lebanon. Organic.

Heya Wines was developed by Claudine lteif & Michelle Chami (her husband is Mercel winemaker Eddie Chami) as a homage to local women empowerment & a deep abiding appreciation to the hard working local women who, in a male dominated industry, literally handle every facet of the wine’s journey. The labels on the bottle are photographs of some of the women harvesting this particular vintage. Heya in Arabic means “she”.

Heya shares the same facility as Mersel Wines. The Ward is a 100% Syrah sourced from vineyards above 1200 meters where there is a cooler microclimate with more moisture in the soils & less intense solar heat. The grapes are hand harvested & direct pressed into a vertical hydraulic press & fermented in neutral oak barrels. The wine is then aged in stainless steel. The rose bursts with notes of strawberries, raspberries, & pomegranate!
