Superbloom is named after the flowers that erupt in the desert after a wetter than normal rain season. Winemakers Joel Burt and Eric Wareheim believe in energy and balance in their wines.
Dark pink? Light red? Beyond category! The winemakers refer to Superbloom as a nighttime rose - particularly right after sunset and before the stars are out in full.
A parade of grapes- Grenache, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Vermentino, and Viognier - are carbonically co-fermented in 3 separate tanks each with its own varietal mix.
The red grape gives the wine a spicy and herbal edge with texture, while the white grapes give freshness and acidity. The wine is a veritable fruit basket of flavors- strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, lemon, peaches, apples, and cantalope!
