The winery & estate are located in the Yarra Valley in Australia & until recently were owned by the Brown Brothers. Winemaker Joel Tilbrook sources the best Sauvignon Blanc fruit from the Awaterre Valley down to the lower Wairau Valley in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Innocent Bystander means an observer who witnesses an event but holds no responsibility for that event. That’s how Joel approaches his winemaking, allowing the grapes to take the lead with minimal intervention.

The mix of hot & cool vineyards creates a dynamic & diverse mix of ripe tropical flavors & bright citrus flavors with aromatics of grapefruit, gooseberries, lemon, lime, & passionfruit. There’s zesty notes all over & the wine vibrates & shimmers with a crisp lingering finish.
